This two-hour virtual workshop, led by our partner Nonprofit Finance Fund, is designed to help grant makers increase their understanding of nonprofit finance, with a focus on equity. The main objectives of the session include:
- Level-set around how finance and grantmaking can advance equity;
- Explore how to approach financial due diligence with an equity lens; and
- Understand how to review nonprofit financials to inform grantmaking.
This interactive, online workshop will include:
- A grounding exercise that busts major myths about nonprofit finance
- A structure for understanding an organization’s complete strengths, which go beyond finance
- An overview of nonprofit financial statements, including how restrictions on the use of grant funds inhibits nonprofit success
- An review of Nonprofit Finance Fund’s Full Cost framework to understand what it takes for nonprofits to achieve both day-to-day mission objectives and long-term sustainability
- Strategies for holding difficult financial conversations with grantees
The regular registration fee for members is $225. Early rate registration ended on April 1.
