Philanthropy Colorado will officially mark 50 years as a network at our Annual Meeting on Dec. 7, 2021, from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
In addition to holding our board elections and celebration, we’ll be hosting Author Heather McGhee to keynote the event. Her new book, The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together, instantly landed on the New York Times bestseller list earlier this year and has been described as a deeply compassionate and meticulously argued investigation of the economic costs of racism. Since we’ll only mark our 50th milestone once, she’ll be flying to Colorado to help us close out the year and we've also arranged to livestream the program for our members who can't attend in person.
We’ll be gathering at the Denver Art Museum’s brand-new, floor-to-ceiling glass pavilion meeting space in the Martin Building (which is also celebrating its 50th this year).
This will be our first in-person member event since early 2020 and we’ll be following COVID guidelines and requirements for all in-person attendees. At event check-in, please be prepared to show a proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the event date. Please note that masks will be required when not eating or drinking.
In-person attendance includes free museum admission. (At 5pm, guests can collect their belongings from the event space and enjoy the museum through closing at 9pm.)
