The Arts are big business and an innovative tool that can advance a wide range of issue areas from health and economic development to social justice. These were the key messages from July’s learning program Building a Stronger Colorado Through Intersectional Investments.
Keynote speaker Randy Cohen, Vice President of Research for Americans for the Arts shared 10 Reasons to Support the Arts in Colorado, which includes statistics on the effect of the arts on community, the economy, education, health and well-being, Innovation and social change. Randy was well informed about Colorado’s arts infrastructure and impact as five Colorado communities were featured in the most recent Americans for the Arts Report Arts & Economic Prosperity 6.
