Join Philanthropy Colorado’s Rural Funders Learning Network for this virtual lunch learning session on rural affordable housing that builds on recent philanthropic work. During the session, we'll go into the insights, challenges and possible solutions and future philanthropic opportunities on this issue.
Rural Homes has nearly completed three community projects as “pilots” for how to get rural housing done in small towns. The Prosono team came in to document this work and put it in the context of how to expand it across rural Colorado. Join Paul Major (Rural Homes), Tony Lewis (Donnell-Kay Foundation), and Joshua Smith (Prosono) in a presentation and discussion about their work and future opportunities on this issue, including:
- Brief overview of work completed by Rural Homes with three community projects and the role(s) funders have played
- Findings about Rural Homes and recommendations for expanding this work statewide
- Discussion about the challenges to develop and build affordable housing in current day rural Colorado and go deeper on possible solutions and future work for philanthropy
