Alliance for Justice’s Bolder Advocacy Director, Abby Levine, joined Philanthropy Colorado members to lead a training on how funders can engage in advocacy. Abby went in-depth to explain the exact forms of advocacy that 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations can legally engage in. Participants were surprised to learn the extent of which activities do and do not constitute lobbying. Many said that they would apply knowledge gained in the training to expand advocacy efforts at their organizations.
