Philanthropy Colorado members are invited to learn more about efforts to advance diversity, equity and accessibility in the philanthropic sector. In the first part of the program, Change Philanthropy will discuss data from the recent release of the 2020 Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals Report, which includes information on Colorado. This second edition of the Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals (DAPP) Report offers a snapshot of the philanthropic sector’s workforce in a very specific space and time — in the chaotic year that was 2020. Note, the 2022 survey sign up window is now until March 11, 2022. For more information, refer to the DAPP FAQs.
The second part of our program will focus on the inaugural GIV (Growing Insight and Voice) Fellowship of YouthRoots, which places youth and young adults from underserved communities in foundation internships to increase transparency, equity, and accessibility in the philanthropic sector. We will hear from Fellows and Host Foundations about how building relationships with impacted communities can support responsive philanthropy while building a pipeline to enter the field. Learn more about future opportunities to serve as a GIV Host Foundation.
