In partnership with ABFE, Philanthropy Colorado is hosting a half-day racial equity training for trustees/board members of our member organizations.
The session will be led by seasoned ABFE trainers and the content will focus on:
- Creating a shared language about equity;
- Distinguishing diversity from inclusion and equity;
- Examining a conceptual framework for understanding racial equity;
- An introduction of a structural lens for the work of philanthropy;
In addition, discussions will explore the various ways in which trustees have used their influence to advance racial equity within grantmaking institutions.
The training is recommended for new trustees or incoming board leaders.
In order to keep the group size optimal, we will need to limit attendance.
