We’re putting a fresh spin on Philanthropy Colorado’s Annual Member Business Meeting, luncheon and Celebration, infusing it with new energy, live and remote arts performances, interactive activities and innovative technology. We’ll also be getting important business done as we approve new Philanthropy Colorado board members and officers. This celebration is being held at Upper Larimer on 3034 Larimer St, Denver, CO.
Whether you have attended many times, or this will be your first experience, please join us for this event marking a new era for Philanthropy Colorado.
Here’s what’s in store:
- Science Meets Storytelling
Juliana Tafur, Director of the Bridging Differences Program at University California at Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, will be our special guest. Juliana will guide attendees through an interactive storytelling experience centered on shared identities, fostering connection and reflection.
- Entertainment from El Sistema Colorado and Semillas de la Tierra
Serving youth ages 3 to 18, El Sistema Colorado offers free music instruments and high quality music education in an orchestra setting, prioritizing services to low-income families. They cultivate a community of support for the whole child and family while the young musicians grow in self-confidence, social-emotional development and leadership skills. Philanthropy Colorado is pleased to showcase the young El Sistema student musicians in action.
Semillas de la Tierra has been using dance to create a sense of belonging in the San Luis Valley for over 50 years. The dance company was created to engage Adams State University students and, under the leadership of Domingo Estrella, now also includes local K-12 students.
Philanthropy Colorado is thrilled to feature Semillas de la Tierra at our Nov. 6 Celebration. Learn more about the group.
